Hi Reader, Last week we talked about what a yearly theme is and why it matters to your success. Think of today’s newsletter as a guided exercise you can do with a cup of tea and 10 quiet minutes. Let’s go! STEP 1 — Choose Your Top 3 ChoicesLook back at the themes that you created last week. Write down your top three choices for possible themes for 2026. Don’t judge them. Just write them. Some reminders of common themes:
Or anything else that keeps coming up for you. STEP 2 — Ask 3 Clarifying QuestionsNow take each theme and answer these three questions:
Your heart will answer before your brain does, so pay attention. STEP 3 — Visualize January With This ThemeClose your eyes for a moment and picture your life in early January. If this were your theme for 2026…
You're looking for the theme that creates a change in how you go about your daily routine. This change may even be a small one. But you are looking for a change. STEP 4 — Choose the One That Feels Like a DirectionRemember: we’re not choosing a goal you must “achieve.” You’re choosing a direction — the path you want to be on the next year. Pick the theme that:

Your theme is your anchor. The habits you create around it are the structure that will keep you moving forward. We will keep building it together. Be you, be focused, be well. Keep flourishing, |
Helping midlife moms finally feel enough so they can stop overthinking, take action, and build a life that includes them too.
Hey Reader, I almost didn’t go on a walk with my family the other day. It didn’t feel important enough. I had other things I could have been doing at that time. And honestly? It felt easier to just skip it. Everyone else could go and I could get some things done at home. I was still going to be doing something; just not taking a walk. The truth is this: Most midlife moms don’t struggle with motivation. They struggle with decision fatigue. Should I do this activity instead of that one? How long...
Hey Reader, Welcome to Quarter 2! It is very hard to believe we are entering the second quarter of 2026. It is April. There’s something about turning the page into a new quarter that can either excite you or make you feel anxious. Which side are you on? This month is a chance to keep going with intention. Last month for me wasn’t about doing everything perfectly. It was about being present enough to notice the moments that actually matter. I had quite a few of those with everything that went...
Hey Reader, The newsletter is a little behind this week. Well, I am going to blame it on the snow. If focus feels harder for you lately, I want you to hear this clearly: It doesn’t mean you’re lazy. And it doesn’t mean what you’re working toward won’t ever work. If you are like me and in midlife, you are carrying a lot. When we sit down to focus now, our minds won't focus on only one task. They spin through everything else: Our kids. Our spouse. Our parents. Our siblings. The errands. The bills.The...
