Hey Reader, Welcome to Quarter 2! It is very hard to believe we are entering the second quarter of 2026. It is April. There’s something about turning the page into a new quarter that can either excite you or make you feel anxious. Which side are you on? This month is a chance to keep going with intention. Last month for me wasn’t about doing everything perfectly. It was about being present enough to notice the moments that actually matter. I had quite a few of those with everything that went on in my life. One of those moments turned into something really special. We had the opportunity to tour an airport repair hangar. It isn't something you typically get to see, and honestly, that’s what made it so meaningful. It reminded me that there’s a whole world behind the scenes of the things we often rush past in everyday life. And I got to experience something new with my children. Something that none of us had ever experienced before. This kind of experience that doesn’t look “productive” on paper, but it ends up being the exact thing that everyone continues to talk about. That video is now up on my YouTube channel, Reality with Shanna, and it’s one of my favorite reflections of what this midlife journey is really about. Not just checking boxes or trying to do more, but allowing space for experiences, connection, and moments that break us out of our normal routine. Because here’s the truth: As we move into Quarter 2, I want to invite you to think about this: What would it look like to create space for moments like that in your own life? Being more intentional. This quarter, we’re focusing on: If you haven’t watched the airport hangar tour yet, I’d love for you to take a few minutes and experience it with us. It’s simple, it’s real, and it’s a reminder that meaningful moments are often closer than we think. Here’s to Quarter 2. Let's create steady growth through intentional choices. Be well, be focused, be you, Shanna |
Helping midlife moms finally feel enough so they can stop overthinking, take action, and build a life that includes them too.
Hey Reader, I almost didn’t go on a walk with my family the other day. It didn’t feel important enough. I had other things I could have been doing at that time. And honestly? It felt easier to just skip it. Everyone else could go and I could get some things done at home. I was still going to be doing something; just not taking a walk. The truth is this: Most midlife moms don’t struggle with motivation. They struggle with decision fatigue. Should I do this activity instead of that one? How long...
Hey Reader, The newsletter is a little behind this week. Well, I am going to blame it on the snow. If focus feels harder for you lately, I want you to hear this clearly: It doesn’t mean you’re lazy. And it doesn’t mean what you’re working toward won’t ever work. If you are like me and in midlife, you are carrying a lot. When we sit down to focus now, our minds won't focus on only one task. They spin through everything else: Our kids. Our spouse. Our parents. Our siblings. The errands. The bills.The...
Hey Reader, As January comes to a close, I wanted to pause and take a calm moment with you. This month always feels long. It is full of people telling us what we need to do to get ready to get through the year. It is full of fresh starts, big intentions, and then the reality of cold mornings, darker days, and winter weather. We have to take charge. ❄️ If you’re in the middle of snow, ice, or just the heaviness of winter, I hope you’re finding small ways to stay safe, warm, and steady. January...
